KARACHI: Sindh Police Inspector General Allah Dino Khawaja on Sunday inaugurated the Foreigners’ Registration Office Special Branch.
A spokesperson for the Sindh Police said that Rs 5 million was also released for the purpose. The IGP was given a detailed briefing about the office, he added.
Khawaja directed that the authenticated records of the particulars of visitors from abroad should be preserved while their arrivals and registration as well as required documents should also be made part of the record.
He instructed to prepare software – in collaboration with NADRA – for preserving the entire data pertaining to period of their stay including the visa validity dates. Trained staff should be deployed for duty at the cell, he added.
