SRINAGAR: In Indian occupied Kashmir, the illegally detained Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that If international community wanted to see this world free from violence and killings, it will have to shun its capitalist and trader like attitude and strive for resolution of human issues and disputes like that of Palestine and Kashmir,”.
JKLF Leader Malik said that the peace, stability, prosperity, democracy and brotherhood have been all desirable things which no sane human can ignore but these dreams cannot be fulfilled by employing “might is right” and “crush the weaker” like approaches. He stressed that oppression can never defeat the will and passion of the Kashmiri people, said a press release issued on Saturday.
Malik mentioned that the people of the occupied territory were being subjected to the worst kind of oppression just because they were asking for fulfillment of pledges made to them by the international community and Indian leaders. He urged that “Dreaming of lasting peace and prosperity without resolving issues and disputes confronting humans is a distant dream that will never come true,” he said, adding that the international community has no choice but to address the issues and disputes so that human kind is saved from future catastrophe and disaster.
“Arresting of ailing woman leader Aasiya Andrabi and her associate Fahmeeda Sofi and booking them under PSA is glaring example of hypocritical politics of PDP led ruling coalition,” Malik said.
Malik condemned the arrest of Dukhtaran-e-Millat chairperson Aasiya Andrabi and her associate Fahmeeda Sofi and booking them under PSA and also the arrest of JKLF tehsil president, Kokernag, Muhammad Ishaaq.
“To suppress people’s demand for freedom so far over 10000 people including resistance leaders, activists, young boys, students and even children have been put behind bars. If rulers and their masters in Delhi and Nagpur think that by these oppressive measures they can defeat the will of Kashmiri people, they are living in a fools’ paradise because history bears a witness to the fact that oppression can never defeat the collective will and passion of people,” Malik added.
