LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday said that they would continue to play role for strengthening democracy as they had done earlier.
During an informal talk with journalists, the PML-N chief said that CPEC project was going to complete on a fast track basis, adding that the project would not be allowed to be foiled by anyone at any cost. “Today’s Pakistan is starkly different from that of 2013’s,” he said, adding that terrorism, load shedding and chaos had been eradicated from the country. The former prime minister said that complete peace was restored in Karachi and Balochistan during last four years.
He said that PML-N had never done politics of propaganda and lies, adding that they served the masses after coming into power in 2013 general election and would continue to serve them after 2018 election. He added that Allah Almighty would end the difficult time they were facing very soon.
It is to be mentioned here that Nawaz Sharif spent a busy day in Lahore. The former PM went to the residence of Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif and congratulated him on the wedding of his daughter. He also went to the house of his close friend Aleem Butt and condoled with his family over his demise.
